Description
Inspired by an elephant named Wonky Tusk who lives in Zambia. I have been fascinated by elephants most of my life. Their strong family unit is what first attracted me to them. However, I was reading short stories and news events every Thursday morning to a group of people at an assisted living facility. In my search for light hearted stories, I discovered to my joy the story of a herd lead by Wonky Tusk. They live in a national park reserve which built a lodge in the park. Once a year the herd travels to their favorite mango orchard. Just happens, the main lobby was built in the middle of their usual route and right next to their mango trees. There is now an annual pilgrimage of these elephants that go through the lobby and out the lobby to enjoy their favorite fruit. To say the inevitable....now people vacation during this time of year to observe this annual pilgrimage. I hope that you are intrigued and will use the internet to read the whole story.
