titled: Morning Mom Call to Duty. I walked around the corner of the house. This beautiful dove rushed at me from the tree and made me jump back. Next visit around the house, the same scenario. This time, I inspected the tree to find a nest with two eggs. I was disturbing her nesting time. I made many attempts to capture a photograph of her on the nest, instead of flying out of it. I finally caught her at a weak moment. She sat perfectly for her photo shoot. I am glad to get to share this mourning dove with you. Suitable name is Morning or Mourning Dove. Named mourning because of their low, soft mournful sound. Their flapping wings sound very loud and whistles to scare of predators or warn others in the flock. Dove are also a game bird for hunting. She will make a beautiful print for any room in your home or print made for a gift. Greeting cards are also available and can be customized with your own text. Photography by Ella.
