Men and women were filled with wonder about the new America. What could and would lie ahead of them as they journeyed west? Families began the journey west filled with feelings of pride, hope and freedom. The wagon pulled by horses, mules or oxen was their mode of transportation. The wagon was their home for hundreds to thousands of miles. The wagon wheel was and is built by artisans. There is no machine that can craft the wooden wheel. The history of American is embedded in the trails that these wheels crossed to build the home we call the United States.
