Description
I think I painted this for me. During my childhood, I was afraid of just about everything, except puppies, kittens and turtles. If I saw a turtle on the road, I begged to stop and take it home. Needless to say, I remember a day that my Mother stopped and picked up a rather large turtle on the side of the road. I played with the turtle all afternoon. Then, my Dad comes home from work. His words to my mother "What were you thinking!" I put the turtle in the backyard when it came time to go inside to eat. I rushed to find my turtle but he must have had time to wonder out of my site. Sadness. However, I got a small green turtle that now lived in a water dish with rocks for climbing. Best part he lived in the house. In those days, you could purchase them and I had a new best friend.
