One of the most popular and loved wildflowers. They arrive early and stay around the longest. I can not look at a buttercup without thinking of children. They love to pick the flowers and present them as gifts to mother, grandmother and friends. Then, they copy our actions after we place the middle on of the buttercup on their nose and giggle. When they see their yellow nose, it becomes a game. We pass on this joyful and playful time from generation to generation.
My first flower from my son. He came running up to give it to me. He was so proud and pleased with his gesture of love. Now, I have experienced that gesture of love with two grandchildren. Memories.....from the lovely Buttercup Wildflower. Also called: Pink Evening Primrose; Pink Ladies and Prairie Primrose.
