As the ocean water rolls to shore it brings us magical treasures. We find shells, pieces of glass, metal or lost personal items. My husband was one of many who has lost a ring in the ocean waters. Then, the water rolls away. We are all smiles as we see a child visit the ocean for the first time. The child stares as the water comes forward and tickles the toes. Then, just as magically the water rolls away. There goes to the child running after it. Wait for it.....then comes the face of terror as the child runs screaming back at you. Does fear stop them? No, they quickly learn the routine and it turns into hours of fun. Unfortunately, when the water rolls out, it also takes some of the earth with it. Erosion is a big problem for our coastline. Here among the natural rocks are boulders of concrete to help stop that erosion. It also makes a great place to sit and absorb the beauty and sounds. Location: Gulf of Mexico, south T...
