Description
Amaryllis are large flowers that grown from a bulb. The green leaves are tall and firm. Leaves will arrive as soon as the ground begins to warm. A little sunshine mixed with spring rain and you will see the large tall amaryllis blooms open to announce spring. Usually opens in the south during April and May. The flowering will disappear and the spring fades away. The dark long healthy leaves will remain during the summer and fall. The cold winter will leave only the bulb to rest and store energy for the next spring. A favorite of southern style gardens.
