This is the first fire station built in Victoria, Texas. Constructed in 1915 for a total cost of $14,189. (as provided by the Victoria, Texas website) First known fire bucket brigade began in 1869. Five men were hired as the first salaried fire fighters. Each was paid $50.00 a month.
