Description
Martin Luther King Jr - Tribute Painting Print by Ella Kaye.
Known around the world as the face of civil rights in the United States. He was born January 15, 1929. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968.
He believed in the constitution of the United States and equality for all people. His life story is filled by an incredible journey. However, there were many struggles and challenges that faced him everyday. Some noted facts: he was jailed 20 times, he was stabbed, his home was bombed and yet he continued forward with determination. Fact is, he is the youngest man to ever win the Nobel Peace prize, he wrote 2500 speeches, several books and articles and inspired a nation. The most famous speech is "I have a dream". When I was working on this painting I keep recalling his speech:
"I have been to the mountain top".
