Since childhood I have been fascinated by turtles. I can't pass one by if close enough to move them to safety, sit and admire their unique features and yes, look them in the eye. This turtle seemed be just as fascinated by me as I was of him. I got on the ground with my camera so that we could be face to face. He remained perfectly posed. My husband would ask if this is really necessary to sprawl out on the ground to the amusement of on lookers. Of course it is...it is a turtle. I now get to share this captured moment with you.
