August 2015, our puppy found this little heron in the grass between two houses. Do not know how this tiny one made it to this location. Their are small lakes around the neighborhood. We have Great Herons, Egrets and Night herons. Defenseless in a world of big animals and people. Beautiful in the eye of a bird watcher. This little one was warning us to stay away.
