My husband and I took a road trip to a neighboring town. We took a few back-roads to check out the area. We saw the donkey in a wonderful green pasture. While taking pictures, the owner of the property stopped by. We discovered that the donkey was named Buddy. He definitely became a buddy quickly. He likes the be rubbed and scratched. Buddy allowed me the privilege of taking a few photos.
I am always reminded of the Bible scripture about the donkey waiting for the Lord to arrive. The donkey would have the the honor of carrying Jesus ceremoniously into Jerusalem. In this time, Kings and Royalty rode donkeys as a sign of their position. How fitting that our Savior would ride the donkey into the city.
