Description
The picture was taken in Goliad, Texas. A small community today with a huge history that begins with native inhabitants. Six flags have been placed in the grounds in Goliad. Governing control came from Spain, France, Mexico, Republic of Texas, Confederate States of America and United States of America. Each country was looking for territorial gain. The Spaniards built this large European style mission in the 1700s. Their purpose was to bring Christianity to the native peoples. History should not be forgotten. It should be studied and remembered. Bloodshed from the past should teach us to move humbly forward in love. We should all learn from history; create and respect life; see ourselves in all mankind.
