Description
Bison are the largest mammal in North America. Baby weighs 30 to 70 lbs at birth while mom and dad can weight up to 2000 lbs. Born without horns. The horns will start at about 3 months of age. Bison is the scientific name or species name. Babies are light reddish color and darken with age. Watch that tail. See a buffalo with the tail raised, you should exit. Bison are big but not slow. They can run up to 35 miles per hour. If the tail is down, keep taking those photos.
